    We have a Quantum Lumenis Medical Grade IPL; there are many different types of IPL machines and grades on the market. Lumenis the manufacturer of our Quantum machine, invented and trade marked the IPL technology, they are recognized as the INTERNATIONAL GOLD STANDARD LEADERS IN IPL TECHNOLOGY.

    There is a huge variation in the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of these machines. We have done extensive research before purchasing the Quantum Lumenis. We started using our IPL in 2007. Our therapists are trained with IPL training courses and ongoing training and refresher courses.

    A cold gel is applied to the area to be treated, and you will be given dark glasses to protect your eyes from the bright light. The smooth glass surface of the IPL™ hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied. You may feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a rubber band. An anesthetic cream may be used but is seldom required.

    Treatment is generally administered in a series of procedures that provides excellent long-term results, minimal adverse effects and high satisfaction. Each treatment takes from twenty minutes. A series of two to six treatment sessions may be necessary, depending on the individual's condition.

    DYSPORT® is a natural, purified protein that relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles creating a smoother, rejuvenated and youthful appearance. A single treatment - a few tiny injections - relaxes the muscles between or above your brows that cause frown lines to form. It can take 5 - 7 days to start to see the effect.

    Restylane and other Dermal Fillers

    Dermal fillers are used to restore and support the appearance of facial skin that has begun to wrinkle, sag or is scarred. They are used to enhance or increase the shape of lips to a desired image, they are made to be accepted by the body and aid in reducing unwanted wrinkles or lines. There are long acting ones that take two or more years to dissolve.

    The dermal fillers are injected through a series of very fine needle pricks which can be performed painlessly under local anaesthetic or under local anaesthetic cream applied an hour or so beforehand. Treatment instantly improves the appearance of lines & wrinkles that have taken years to form. To maintain the look, a regular top up is recommended. The frequency varies with individuals, and needs to be discussed with the dermal filling expert. Results are natural-looking and immediate.

    Restylane dermal fillers are clear gels made from a substance called Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is found naturally in the body, where its main role is to attract water and provide hydration to the skin.  Our levels of HA diminish as we age.  Restylane products are designed to resemble your own body's natural HA, and are used to help softly revitalise your facial features.
